Stainless Pipe 321

Stainless Pipe 321

  • General Info

Stainless Steel 321 Pipe is an austenitic stainless steel alloy, primarily used in high-temperature applications due to its excellent oxidation and corrosion resistance at elevated temperatures. This grade is similar to 304 stainless steel, but with the addition of titanium (Ti), which stabilizes the material and prevents sensitization (the formation of chromium carbide at grain boundaries), making it particularly suitable for high-temperature environments.

  • Specification

    Stainless Steel 321 Pipe Specifications
    Material Composition
Chromium (Cr): 17-19% (provides excellent corrosion resistance)
Nickel (Ni): 9-12% (enhances toughness and corrosion resistance)
Titanium (Ti): 5 times the carbon content, typically around 0.5-1.0% (prevents sensitization, improving high-temperature performance)
Manganese (Mn): 2% (strengthens the material)
Carbon (C): 0.08% max (ensures ductility and strength)
Silicon (Si): 0.75% (adds heat resistance)
Phosphorus (P) and Sulfur (S): 0.045% max each (improves machinability)
